The third International Festival of Glass
22 – 25 August, 2008
Glass dresses, glass music and international glass artists all feature in the festival programme taking place throughout Stourbridge’s Glass Quarter during this great four day event. There are over 15 exhibitions including the British Glass Biennale, the UK’s largest selling exhibition of contemporary glass in the UK.
Plenty of opportunities to buy glass with four different fairs; the Bead Fair in the Bonded Warehouse, the glass market in Stourbridge town centre, a major antique glass fair in the Crystal Leisure Centre, Stourbridge and the Glass Emporium at the Ruskin Glass Centre.
Plus loads of lectures, heritage walks and talks, Romans, Egyptians, archaeologists, physicists, sculptors, actors, performers, musicians, dancers, demonstrations, workshops, ceilidh, narrowboat rides, taster sessions for anyone who missed out on the masterclasses preceeding the festival and a spectacular finale.
